On 12th December we invite to a tea tasting with Ukrainian Tea Master Max Roiko. Yunnan is one of the most ancient and diverse tea regions of China, known for its red teas and the famous pu’er. During this immersive session, tea and ceramics master from Ukraine Max Roiko will guide participants through the unique world of Yunnan tea, combining stories,

history and a hands-on tasting experience. This event is perfect both for beginners and tea enthusiasts, and also for those who want to deepen their understanding of the intricacies of Chinese culture through tea.

Tea drinking with a simultaneous presentation of: an introduction to Yunnan and its teas — why these particular teas are the ones I value most and choose to drink daily. Overview of the main Yunnan tea categories: red tea, shu pu’er, and sheng pu’er — what makes each of them unique. Brewing methods for these teas, including traditional local approaches used in Yunnan. How Yunnan teas can be used to support both physical and mental well-being.

Max Roiko is a Ukrainian tea master and ceramics artist who spent eight years living in Kunming, Yunnan — the heart of the pu’er tea world. For more than fourteen years he has been studying Chinese tea culture, working directly with tea producers, and hosting tea tastings across Europe and Asia. Max now lives in Vilnius, where he creates handmade tea ceramics and continues to share his passion for Chinese tea.
