On February 13th, we visited Vilnius Jesuit High School, where we organized a lecture about the upcoming Chinese New Year. Students were introduced to Chinese New Year custom and traditions, had a chance to see traditional New Year decorations and to try the traditional Chinese paper–cutting.
As some students are already learning the Chinese language, they also had a chance to show their language skills during the lecture. We were left surprised and pleased by students' enthusiasm and knowledge about the Spring festival.
Confucius Institute presented gifts to the high school so that all members of the school community could learn more about China‘s culture and customs. They presented educational CDs about China‘s cultural heritage and a photo album which was made in the cooperation of two Lithuanian and Chinese artisans who captured the most outstanding pictures of China.
