This year, the Confucius Institute at Vilnius University has awarded scholarships to three Sinology students: Vainius Žmoginas, a fourth-year student, and Rusnė Matelytė and Gabrielius Dapkus, both in their second year.
Each year, the Confucius Institute awards three one-off scholarships to Sinology students who have achieved excellent academic results and actively contributed to the Institute's activities. The scholarships recognise not only academic excellence but also students' initiative and involvement in academic and cultural life.
The scholarship winners are selected by a committee of Sinology lecturers from the Institute of Asian and Transcultural Studies at Vilnius University, based on their academic performance and active participation.
