On the occasion of a World Tai Chi & Qigong Day we were extremely happy to present a health seminar with our beloved wushu instructor Liang Wenming. The core idea of the seminar was to introduce additional breathing exercises and the use of reverse abdominal breathing in Chen-style Tai Chi.

In the first part the attendees were taught three sounds from the Six Healing Sounds: Xu (嘘), He (呵), and Hu (呼). The purpose was obtained as follows: to condition the body through the vibration of sounds, mental work, and movement of the abdomen, chest, and limbs.

In the second part the participants learned three movements from Chen-style Tai Chi: Single Whip (单鞭), Hidden Hand Punch (掩手肱捶), and Shift Weight Turn/Flash the Back (闪通背). The main purpose was to combine reverse abdominal breathing with Tai Chi movements and improve core stability.

The best feedback from the participants is the biggest joy for us.
