On the 20th April we will celebrate the Chinese Language Day and kindly invite to Zoom public lecture that will be held on 20th April at 3 p.m. This occasion is observed on April 20 of every year and is founded by the United Nations. Chinese Language Day celebrates multilingualism and cultural diversity. The Chinese language is known as one of the most complex languages to learn, but it is deeply rooted in history and has existed for thousands of years.
According to the occasion we would like to invite to the public lecture on the subject of Chinese language.

Chinese characters record Chinese history, society, and folk customs, and are the "living fossils" of Chinese civilisation. At the same time, Chinese characters also reflect the thinking, cognition and value orientation of the Chinese people. They are not only the carriers of traditional Chinese culture, but also an important component of it. This lecture explores the life course from birth to death revealed in Chinese characters.

Dr. LU Xiaohong, associate professor at East China Normal University, Shanghai. In the recent ten years, she has been working at International Chinese education, teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in China, America and Belgium.
