On February 12th, Confucius Institute staff visited Vilnius Uzupis Gymnasium, where they organized the lecture about Chinese New Year. Students were introduced to Chinese New Year custom and traditions, had a chance to see traditional New Year decorations and to try out traditional Chinese paper – cutting.
Confucius Institute also presented gifts to the gymnasium so that all school community members could learn more about China‘s culture and custom. They presented educational CD‘s about China‘s culture and traditions, Confucius „Lunyu“ books and photo album which was made in the cooperation of two Lithuanian and Chinese artisans. They captured the most outstanding pictures of China, those were put into one photo album which vividly depicts the scenery of China.
