In February and March, interns from the Confucius Institute of Vilnius University held Chinese culture lessons.

The classes took place in six Lithuanian schools: Kazlų Rūda Kazis Grinius Gymnasium branch: Pranas Dovydaitis Pro-Gymnasium, Kaišiadorys district Žiežmariai Gymnasium, Rumšiškės Antanas Baranauskas Gymnasium, KTU Engineering Lyceum, VGTU Engineering Lyceum, and Vilnius Fabijoniškės Gymnasium.

During lessons, students learned about Chinese calligraphy and its history, wrote New Year wishes in Chinese. They also learned mathematics in China, including the symbolism of various numbers and their combinations, and solved mathematical problems using Chinese rules of algebraic calculation.

This series of lessons was completed with an exhibition of calligraphy works by students of Žiežmariai gymnasium at the Confucius Institute of Vilnius University. Here, students saw their works on display, explored the artistic and cultural aspects of Hong Kong kung fu films, and took part in a tea-tasting session, where they tasted green (绿茶 lǜchá) and white (白茶báichá) tea.

We thank the students who took part in our educational lessons, and we look forward to seeing them again!
